Even after their seasons as Paris Junior College (PJC) ended, two 2024-2025 Dragons baseball players, brothers Dylan Schlotterback and Gavyn Schlotterback of Lakeway, Texas, are still garnering recognition and honors.
Even after their seasons as Paris Junior College (PJC) ended, two 2024-2025 Dragons baseball players, brothers Dylan Schlotterback and Gavyn Schlotterback of Lakeway, Texas, are still garnering recognition and honors.
Already named this year's National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIV North Player of the Year All-Conference and All-Region, Dylan Schlotterback has just been named NJCAA Division I Second Team All-American by both the NJCAA and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
Dylan Schlotterback also received the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for third base. Only one player is named for each position nationally. The Gold Glove Awards are presented annually by Rawlings and selected by the ABCA.
"The awards are a great honor to receive," said Dylan Schlotterback, "but what I'm most thankful for is Coach [Clay] Cox and Coach Boone [Privette]'s belief in me, and providing me with an opportunity to keep playing the game I love. I really enjoyed my time at PJC, and I know I left there a better ball player and a better man."
The Juco Baseball Blog named Gavyn Schlotterback the NJCAA Two-Way player of the year, as catcher and pitcher. He'll be joining his brother as they head to the Big 12 this fall; both will play for the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
